Pedometers and Goldendoodles

So I decided to get a pedometer because I walk every morning for about 30 minutes with a colleague before we go to work and I was interested in the distance of our walks, how many steps I take and how many calories I burn while I walk. I found this AMAZING pedometer at www.sportscounters.com and it was so inexpensive. Best of all, it counted everything from steps to calories to distance and it had a stopwatch on it. I used it this morning for the first time after playing around with it all night trying to figure out my stride length and I found out we were walking about 1.5 miles and I was stepping about 6000 times. Whether or not that is good – I have no idea but I was super excited.

I just went home to grab an important paper and my dog was chewing on something. You guessed it – my new beautiful pedometer. It was now in a million pieces all over the living room floor. Stupid dog. It is a good thing I love him so much. I cleaned it up, and made the dog sit then told him calmly, “you can be replaced!” and left the room. Nothing could replace our dog but it made me feel a little better for some reason. So now I am on the lookout for another pedometer. I am tempted to go back to www.sportscounters.com because it was great and it shipped really fast and was inexpensive but I think I might try the weight watchers one. I didn’t know they had a pedometer but who knows, I’m still a little heart broken.

If I get any more cool healthy gadgets I’ll be sure to update :)
